ENTRY RULES





The Pink Lamb’s Fight For A Cure Film Festival will be held in November at venues in San Diego, Los Angeles, Washington DC and more. You will be informed once selections of “Bests” are made.



This year we will mark Pink Lamb’s first film festival in hopes to raise a significant amount of money for the American Cancer Society. At least twenty five percent of what is generated through submissions will be donated to the ACS.



We encourage filmmakers to submit works from any genre. We are especially interested in feature films, documentaries, short films, extreme sports, music videos and student films. There are no entry fees for survivors of cancer.



Pink Lamb Productions is passionate about helping to fight cancer. Pink Lamb will publicize the winners of each category as well show them in a number of screenings and showcases. This is a festival that proceeds will go to help the American Cancer Society, a fight for cancer and help patients that are currently in need.

You must pay by check or money order if you are manually submitting. Check or Money order will be made out to: “Lindsay Gilbert” write in memo: with Pink Lamb Productions.  If a check bounces, you will be expelled from the festival. Checks or money International entrants who do not pay by credit card must use an international money order paid in U.S. dollars through a U.S. bank. No exceptions will be made. Do not send cash.

RULES OF ELIGIBILITY


Your submission must be postmarked by the appropriate deadline listed above and include the correct entry fee. We will not consider films submitted after October 31.



Films must have been completed after January 1.



Films must not have had any commercial, theatrical, or television play in the United States.



Films may be of any length, and of any genres, including features, documentaries, shorts, student films, x-sports, music videos and experimental films. We are particularly interested in presenting U.S. and World Premieres. The Festival will consider works-in-progress, films with temporary sound tracks, digital outputs, and work that did not originate from film.



All films with dialogue in a language other than English must be subtitled in English for Festival presentation.



We will inform you of our selection decision in February.





CATEGORIES





Feature-Length Films. Must be over 40 minutes.



Feature-Length Documentaries. Must be over 40 minutes.



Shorts. Includes documentaries, narratives, animations, etc…, under 40 minutes. Does not include music videos or student films.



Music Video. A filmed or videotaped rendition of a recorded song.



Extreme Sports. This can be a feature or short that shows extreme sports.









FESTIVAL PRIZES



The festival awards its juried grand prizes, the “Pink Lamb’s Fight For A Cure Best”, to the Best Feature Film in each category. Winners will be announced in February.



The “Bests” will also be shown in a showcases as well as screenings through out southern California as well as Washington DC. They will also be publicized at www.pinklamb.com.



This is a festival that is helping a good cause. Pink Lamb Productions is an active player in the fight against cancer so proceeds go to the American Cancer Society as well as other cancer outreach facilities.





SCREENING REQUIREMENTS

If your film is selected for exhibition, please know that the Festival will require:





(1) Final exhibition format of 35mm, 16mm, Betacam SP (NTSC). The festival will not pay to transfer from PAL to NTSC.



(2) Press kits with high-resolution digital images (300 d.p.i., suitable for print). We prefer digital (e.g., soft copy) press kits.

(3) For feature films, if available: film trailers, clip reels, BetaSP EPKs, posters, and postcards to maximize exposure for your film.



(4) Non-English films must be subtitled in English.







SHIPPING INFORMATION



Packaging. Ship your VHS cassette or DVD in a bubble-pack envelope when possible. Please DO NOT USE a fiber pack or paper envelope.



The festival is not responsible for damage to tapes incurred during transport.



Costs and Labeling. All shipping costs to and from Pink Lamb Productions must be borne by the sender. Please print the following information on your VHS or DVD: title, shipper's name, and return shipping address.



Confirm Receipt. If you wish to confirm our receipt of your film submission, please include a self-addressed stamped postcard.

International Entries. Please send entries from outside the U.S. by Air Mail Registered Service, or by parcel or express service. The Festival will NOT accept entries shipped by airfreight if customs and delivery fees are not paid.
